Zara Durrani

Zara Durrani is a Pakistani-Canadian actress and model.[1] She was born and grew up in Pakistan, and later moved to Canada. She appeared in many commercials and some films and in Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park. She also models in so many fashion shows and as a host in many shows.[2][3][4]

Biography

Durrani was born in Pakistan, her world turned when she traveled across South East Asia with her family. As a teenager, she became a Canadian immigrant. She learned the English language from watching old Hollywood movies and the news. She always wanted to perform as a model and actress. By watching movies, her desire to be a model and actress was renewed. In a short time, she appeared in various commercials and independent film projects, and a rendition of Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park. She was also the lead role in the short film Sindoor. She models in many fashion shows and hosts segments showcasing Vancouver's fashion industry.[4][5]

Durrani is a devout Muslim, but not conservative, equally willing to study religious texts as drink a glass of wine or do a bikini photo shoot.[1]

She is also yoga teacher and an activist for women's, children's and immigration rights and founder of Inspired Life Productions.[6][5]
